Johannesbergs_slottRegistration is now open for the 10th Scandinavian Workshop on Wireless Ad-hocNetworks, May 10-11 2011. The theme for ADHOC ´11 is Wireless Architectures for the Internet of Things.

The Adhoc workshops carry a long tradition of bringing researchers in various fields together on their common focus wireless ad-hoc networking.In 2011, the workshop returns to its original and most popular venue, Johannesberg Castle, just north of Stockholm. It provides an excellent informal setting for discussions over traditional subject boarders such as communication theory, computer science, signal processing etc.The Program committee has been successful in engaging three prominent Key note speakers:

Mischa_dohlerMischa Dohler, Head of the Intelligent Energy (IQe) group at CTTC in Barcelona, with focus on smart grids and Green Radios. He is working on wireless sensor, machine-to-machine, femto, cooperative, cognitive and docitive networks. He will talk about Why ad hoc networking has been the wrong way.

kevin_fallKevin Fall, Principal Engineer at the Intel Research laboratory in Berkeley, California, USA. His research interests include computer networks, operations in remote and difficult environments, security, and network science. Current work focuses on Delay Tolerant Networking and adapting modern PC servers for use as routers (part of the RouteBricks) project at Intel.

Victor_BahlVictor Bahl
, Director of the Mobile Computing Research Center (MCRC) in Microsoft Research. Prior to MCRC, Victor founded the Networking Research Group and served as its manager for 8 years. He continues to help shape Microsoft’s long-term vision related to networking technologies through research and associated policy engagement with governments and institutions around the world. His presentation at the Adhoc11 has the title: Marrying mobile devices to the Cloud.
