Energy efficiency is increasingly important for wireless communications and networks. The project aims at developing a comprehensive theoretical framework as well as pioneering technologies for energy-efficient designs of different types of wireless networks such as mobile cellular systems, ad hoc networks, etc. The project will build a thorough understanding of the relations between the energy efficiency, spectral efficiency and various implementation aspects. e.g. network resource management, electronic design and the properties of protocol stacks for various networks.
